Katharine Zimmerman has worked in the non-profit sector for more than 40 years. She is an award-winning grant professional and has raised over $31 million in funds for non-profit organizations. Throughout her career, she has secured grant awards from local, state, national and international funders, including corporate and private foundations, governmental agencies, and the United Way. Katharine has also held positions as Director of Grants and Government Relations, Director of Volunteer Services and Director of Supported Employment with prominent non-profit agencies in Florida. She has a bachelor of arts degree from The American University in Washington, D.C.

Katharine received the Outstanding Fundraising Professional Award from the Association of Fundraising Professionals of Central Florida and the Professional Excellence and Outstanding Grant Mentor Awards from the Grant Professionals Network of Central Florida. She is on the Board of Directors of Air Care Alliance whose mission is to promote, support, and represent public benefit flying through communication and cooperation among organizations facilitating flights for health, compassion, and community service. Her childhood dream to travel and change the world has been realized as a volunteer and fundraising professional.

As the daughter of a Navy veteran, Katharine is honored to join the Camaraderie Foundation team in service to the military families who have sacrificed so much for our country.
