Camaraderie Foundation invites you and your family to a special Sing Along to the hit animated movie Sing at the Tampa Theatre on May 31st.

Buster Moon (voiced by Matthew McConaughey) is a little koala with big dreams – namely, preserving the struggling historic theater he fell in love with as a child and restoring it to its golden-age glory. His plan is to host a singing competition with a cash prize, but a typo by his reptilian office clerk, Miss Crawly, accidentally adds a few extra zeroes to the kitty. The contest draws a menagerie of contestants voiced by A-listers like Reese Witherspoon, Seth MacFarlane, Scarlett Johansson, John C. Reilly, Nick Kroll, Laraine Newman, Nick Offerman, Rhea Perlman, and Jennifer Saunders, but it soon becomes clear that it’s going to take a miracle for Buster to save The Moon Theater.
And what better place for a special private screening of the 2016 animated classic SING than the historic Tampa Theatre. Before the film, a member of the Tampa Theatre team will share a short history of the 1926 movie palace, speak briefly on the Theatre’s own preservation and restoration efforts, and reinforce some guidelines for good movie-going etiquette for the younger guests.
