Mission

The C.O.M.B.A.T. initiative is a united “call to arms” expressing an immeasurable scale and worth of a veteran brotherhood and sisterhood belonging to a motorcycle association or club in the fight to eliminate the invisible wounds of war.

 

Purpose

The C.O.M.B.A.T. initiative is set to bring together veteran members of motorcycle associations and clubs as one unit, regardless of custom, tradition, culture, or location, to support the Camaraderie Foundation and communicate their message of saving lives and families of veterans, who have fought for us, while they fight their demons of despair, heal their invisible wounds of war, and erase their scars of sacrifice.

 

Coalition     –     a united “call to arms”

 

Of                 –     expressing an immeasurable scale and worth

 

Military        –     of a veteran brotherhood and sisterhood

 

Bikers          –     belonging to a motorcycle association or club

 

Against       –     in the fight to eliminate

 

Trauma       –     the invisible wounds of war.

Membership

Any veteran rider member of a motorcycle association or club, from now on known as “member”, can join the C.O.M.B.A.T. initiative to donate money, volunteer their services and skills, and/or participate in direct support of any events, activities, or rides organized by a member, member association, member club, the Camaraderie Foundation, or the C.O.M.B.A.T. initiative itself. A single veteran member belonging to a motorcycle association or club can advocate membership for their association or club.

Description: Nonmember that just pays at events, activities, or rides, or purchases foundation items (i.e. patches, t-shirts, hats) without joining the C.O.M.B.A.T. initiative

  1. Receives the C.O.M.B.A.T. newsletter and member is linked to related social media and website for updates and notifications
  2. Receives Camaraderie Foundation sticker and magnet
  3. Authorized to wear the C.O.M.B.A.T. patch; pays $5.00 for patch
  4. Receives non-member number when participating in a C.O.M.B.A.T. program or activity

Member pays $5.00/month for a year or a $50.00 one-time annual payment*

  1. Receives the C.O.M.B.A.T. card with member number, newsletter and is linked to related social media and website
  2. Receives Camaraderie Foundation sticker and magnet
  3. Member’s name is advertised on the newsletter for the duration of their membership
  4. Authorized to wear the C.O.M.B.A.T. patch (after first payment) and Member tab (after full payment)

Member pays $10.00/month for a year or a $100.00 one-time annual payment*

  1. Receives the C.O.M.B.A.T. card with member number, newsletter and member is linked to related social media and website for updates and post notifications
  2. Receives Camaraderie Foundation sticker and magnet
  3. Member’s name advertised on newsletter and website for duration of their membership
  4. Automatically enrolled in Loyalty Rider Miles program for duration of their membership
  5. Authorized to wear the C.O.M.B.A.T. patch (after first payment) and Bronze Member tab (after full payment)

Member pays $50.00/month for a year or a $500.00 one-time annual payment*

  1. Receives the C.O.M.B.A.T. card with member number, card with member number, newsletter and member is linked to related social media and website for updates and post notifications
  2. Receives Camaraderie Foundation sticker and magnet
  3. Member’s/group’s name is advertised on the newsletter and website permanently
  4. Automatically enrolled in Loyalty Rider Miles program for duration of their membership
  5. Authorized to wear the C.O.M.B.A.T. patch (after first payment) and Silver Member tab (after full payment)

Member pays $100.00/month for a year or a $1,000.00 one-time annual payment*

  1. Receives the C.O.M.B.A.T. card with member number, newsletter and member is linked to related social media and website for updates and post notifications
  2. Receives Camaraderie Foundation sticker and magnet
  3. Member’s/group’s name is advertised on the newsletter and website permanently
  4. Automatically enrolled in Loyalty Rider Miles program for duration of their membership
  5. Authorized to wear the C.O.M.B.A.T. patch (after first payment) and Gold Member tab (after full payment)
  6. Automatically enrolled in C.O.M.B.A.T Buddy program
  7. Member/group has one seat and voice at C.O.M.B.A.T meetings for the duration of their membership

* Groups with 5 or more C.O.M.B.A.T members that match or exceed a level’s annual requirement receives group recognition at that level; Missed/late payments will suspend benefits

Annual Events

PTSD Awareness Month encourages everyone to raise public awareness of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder and effective treatments, and how we can all help those affected by PTSD.

  1. Organize and conduct a camaraderie ride to spread awareness

National PTSD Awareness Day is a day dedicated to creating awareness regarding PTSD.

  1. Organize and conduct a ride-in hosting a party or BBQ for Camaraderie Foundation clients and their families
  2. Other activities TBD

Started in 2009, the foundation gives counseling “scholarships” to veterans struggling to readjust to civilian life — or the families struggling to help them.

Purple Heart Day recognizes not only the merit but more importantly the men and women killed and wounded in combat who have earned the badge of honor. It encourages people to pay their respects, to listen to the stories of soldiers and veterans, and to thank them for their service.

  2. Organize and conduct a ride that passes out violas to specific military locations

Patriot Day remembers those who were injured, died, or affected during the terrorist attacks in the United States on September 11, 2001.

National Day of the Deployed honors all of the brave men and woman who have been deployed, are sacrificing, or have sacrificed their lives to defend our country.

  1. Organize and conduct a ride or ride-in to collect items and/or letters to be sent to deployed military units to help comfort their tours of duty

Military Family Month recognizes and honors military families for their numerous contributions and daily sacrifices to the Army and the nation.

Veterans Day honors those who served in the United States Armed Forces.

  1. Participate in the Veteran’s Day Parade (downtown Orlando) with a mixed group of C.O.M.B.A.T. rider members; moreover, include recently and currently treated veterans
